Skipper Ltd has won new orders valued at Rs.225 crore from the domestic and international markets.
In a release, Skipper said that these orders related to the power transmission & distribution (T&D) as well as telecom sectors.
The company’s engineering business has secured export orders valued at Rs.125 crore for several power T&D projects across Latin America, Middle East and South Asian markets.
Besides, new orders worth Rs.100 crore were placed by Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd (PGCIL), domestic state power utilities and telecom companies.
The company release said that the management of Skipper expects the share of international business to rise to 75 per cent in the next two years.
Besides, the company’s bidding pipeline is at its highest-ever level of Rs.9,500 crore, the release said, adding that the company expects substantial rise in the volume of international orders in the current fiscal year.

Strong pipeline
Commenting on the new orders, Sharan Bansal, Director, Skipper Ltd, said, “Our tender pipeline continues to stay strong, The company is actively pursuing projects worth of Rs.4,500 crore on international front and about Rs.5,000 crore on the domestic front, which are currently under different phases of bidding or negotiation. For majority of bids under submission our scope is supply and we have tied up with several EPC players who are bidding for such projects. We expect to see a significant portion of those getting converted into the order book by coming quarters.
