Suzlon Group has announced the winning of a major EPC order from Sembcorp Group for a 180.6-mw wind farm in Karnataka.
The order was placed by Green Infra Wind Energy Ltd, a renewable energy-centric subsidiary of Sembcorp. As part of the order, Suzlon will install 86 wind turbines generators with hybrid lattice tubular (HLT) tower and rated capacity of 2.1 mw each, for the wind power project coming up at Kanakagiribad, Bagalkot, Karnataka, and expected to commission in 2024.
As part of the mandate, Suzlon will supply the wind turbines (equipment supply) and execute the project including, erection and commissioning. Suzlon will also provide comprehensive operation, and maintenance services post commissioning.
