Techno Electric & Engineering Ltd has reported the winning of new orders, collectively valued at nearly Rs.700 crore.
In a brief stock exchange filing, Techno Electric said that it has won three orders, together valued at around Rs.694 crore, in the field of power transmission and distribution.
The first order, valued at Rs.126 crore, was placed by “Goa Tanmar Transmission Project Ltd.” This entity is a project SPV, promoted by Sterlite Power, which is developing the Goa-Tanmar transmission project on DBFOOT basis. The project, acquired under the TBCB mode in March 2018, involves setting up of transmission lines and substations across Goa and Karnataka. The Techno Electric filing has not specified the scope of works.
The second order has been placed by REC Power Development & Consultancy Ltd. Valued at Rs.338 crore, the scope covers deployment of 2.5 lakh smart meters in the UT of Jammu & Kashmir. This order strongly appears to be part of the Revamped Distribution Sector Scheme (RDSS), though the release has not furnished any further details.
The third mandate is from Tripura State Electricity Corporation, and involves power transmission works worth Rs.230 crore.
