Transformers & Rectifiers (India) Ltd [TRIL] has achieved its highest-ever transformer production of nearly 26,000 MVA in FY22.
In an investor presentation filed with stock exchanges, TRIL said that transformer production in FY22 was 25,936 MVA, which is the highest ever annual production in the company’s history.
Here are some highlights of TRIL’s performance in FY22:
- Sales of transformers in physical terms grew by 11.64 per cent to reach 22,967 MVA in FY22 from 20,572 MVA in FY21.
- Sales of transformers in financial terms from the company’s Odhav manufacturing plant rose 55 per cent year-on-year in FY22. The Odhav plant makes transformers of up to 20 MVA capacity.
- An estimated 58 per cent of TRIL’s transformer sales, in MVA terms, came from transformers of above 220kV, in FY22. In FY22, this metric was 50 per cent.
- Power utilities accounted for 51 per cent of the company’s transformer sales in value terms in FY22, as against 47 per cent in FY21.
- TRIL did well on the exports front with the share of exports in the company’s total sales in value terms rising to 19 per cent in FY22 from 13 per cent in FY21.
- Reflecting this was the more than doubling of exports sales from Rs.98 crore in FY21 to Rs.209 crore in FY22.
- TRIL’s order book position stood at Rs.1,148 crore as of March 31, 2022. In addition, the company has participated in the bidding process of state and Central utilities for supplying equipment worth over Rs.1,000 crore.
