TRIL sees Rs.698-crore new order inflow in Q1FY25

Transformers & Rectifiers (India) Ltd [TRIL] has reported new order inflow of Rs.698 crore during Q1 (April to June) of FY25.

In an investor presentation, TRIL said that it witnessed new order inflow of Rs.698 crore in Q1FY25, taking the outstanding order book to Rs.2,926 crore as of June 30, 2024.

The new order inflow in Q1FY25 also included TRIL’s maiden order for STATCOM transformers; orders for four such single-phase transformers of 193 MVA were clinched.

Besides, orders worth Rs.17,500 crore are under negotiation, the presentation observed.

Of the total unexecuted order book as of June 30, 2024, power transformers accounted for Rs.1,896 crore – or 65 per cent. The remaining order book was distributed among other products like reactors, distribution transformers, furnace transformers and rectifier (duty) transformers.

 

 

Central utilities – with a big representation by Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd (PGCIL) – accounted for 42 per cent of TRIL’s order book, as of June 30, 2024. Incidentally, TRIL’s Changodhar testing facility for reactors received approval from PGCIL during the quarter under review.

New capacity for renewable energy transformers will be available from December 2024, the presentation said, adding that the fully-automatic radiators manufacturing facility will be operational from September 2024 onwards.

 

Performance in FY24

As already reported by T&D India, the order inflow of Transformers & Rectifiers (India) Ltd in FY24 stood at Rs.2,050 crore with the outstanding order book touching Rs.2,582 crore, as of March 31, 2024.
